And just like that, the trends in our every day shoe choices change along with the new movement in what we wear. As we peel off our tracksuits and venture the great outdoors once again it seems only natural to see that comfy sneaker also taking a seat in the back-burner. Ok, not totally as retro sneakers such at Converse are still very much talk of the day. All the same chunky sneakers are certainly less of a trend for Spring Summer 2023.
I don’t know about you but I have even noticed sneakers featuring less on the FunkyForty Instagram account. That has to be a sign right – smile!

Slingback Pumps

2. Mary Jane
I think it’s funny that these are back in fashion. Especially as they remind me so much of school uniform shoes – so be it – smile!

3. Platform Heels
The platform heel is back big time and it seems the higher the platform the better. It’s time to get out those stilt walking skills once again.

Designer loafers in particular are the talk of the day. I say they are worth the investment as a good pair of loafers really never goes out of fashion and will be so well made that you can wear them for years.

5. Strappy heeled sandals
There’s something so pretty about a nice pair of strappy heeled sandals. A good thing to own with wedding guest season coming up.

6. Vinyl sandals
When buying vinyl shoes it is worth noting that in general if worn often they will not last a long time. The vinyl has a tendency to go off colour after awhile.
Hence this is one shoe I can not recommend investing in and hope I will be forgiven for leading you all to a fast fashion store for more of this trend online.
