The One

The One. A million things pop into your head when you read these two words. The love of life, probably. But when it comes to fashion, we all have THE one. THE cozy stylish sweater you wear on and on, THE silk scarf that makes any outfit better, THE pair of shoes that make your day brighter. As most you know, THE accessory for me is a bag. Bags are my weakness and my bags are probably THE accessory that I keep impeccable storage. Each of them brings me such joy and reminds me of all the times I snapped at someone who dared to put my bag on the floor. You see, I take that “table for 3: you, me and my bag” very seriously.

When Farfetch contacted me and told me about their newest magazine, The Style Guide, I immediately started going through the amazing editorial content and, inspired by this article, I bring you my favorite bags of the season and will reveal to you my #THEONE. The choice wasn´t hard, it was love at first sight. Can you guess it? Hint: She hides between the beautiful European architecture 🙂

Bags have feelings too

Certainly you have gone through a lot of street style photos lately (after all, it is Fashion Week). And you must have seen Karlitos hanging on fashion editors bags, small bag chains or another type of bag charm. You must have also spotted great designers whose bags are basically small human beings – you just happen to keep your phone and wallet on their inside. The first thing that crossed my mind was that we were giving our bags personality. The second was that the ‘less is more’ motto definitely will not be a trend for Fall/Winter 2016.

P.s. If you’re OK with sharing your bandana you might want to consider doing what I’ve been doing with my orange fringed bag from Asos. Trust me, it’s a WIN WIN situation and another great way to ‘give your bag personality’.

Crazy about accessories

As a very creative person, like I mentioned on a previous post, I seek for detail. Whenever I look at a streetstyle photo, I look for small details that make the person stand out. What is it that makes that outfit unique, besides the person?
Though I always loved (and will continue loving) great statement pieces – an embroidered sweater or printed trousers, a good jumper or even a fabulous dress – there are days when I fell like wearing a simple outfit, preferably with lots of black and White clothing, and make my statement on the accessories department.
This year, everytime I searched for street style photos I chose to see first the accessories selection. After that I did what I like to do the most – searched for the designers of those beautiful pieces.

This post is mainly about bags and clutches – i´m more of a bag than of a shoe person. The ones I wish I had thought of first, the ones I´d love to buy, the ones I take a bow for.

Clutch – the faux fur trend

During the fashion week days, when it comes to accessories, street style shoots gave us the best and most creative ideas. Posting about those days got me really inspired to do this post – i´ve always defended a solid outfit with creative elements to make you stand out. After a quick research, I found not only the designers responsible for such creative pieces – we´re talking about shoes, eye-wear, hats, jewls, but mostly clutches and small bags – but also the best clutches on earth, when it comes to giving wings to your imagination. The question about those accessories will always be: do I dare to walk on the streets wearing those statement pieces? Absolutely!

Anyway, among all the glitter accessories, the colorful pieces, the creative work including Disney characters and your daily cereals, something really caught my attention – the faux fur clutch.

I believe i´ve told you before, I hate real fur. But when it comes to faux fur, the scenario changes drastically – from oversized coats, to details in your shoes, even when we´re talking about a mini Karl pendent from Fendi – I love them all.

So when I spotted several girls wearing faux fur clutches, I knew I had to have one. So soft, so comfortable, so perfect!!
