F/W 14/15 TREND REPORT – The Poncho

We´ve seen the craziness around Burberry Poncho – everyone from Olivia Palermo to Cara Delevigne has one. Besides, the fact that it is a customized piece makes it kind of unique (and everybody wants to feel one of a kind!).

But if the craziness began with Burberry, it soon expanded to all the other brands. The variety is huge, and the outfits you can pull with this trend are even bigger! Besides, the fact that it is a giant piece of wool makes you feel super comfortable – and in a way, makes you also a walking blanket!

I myself have an adorance for ponchos and capes (I am the proud owner of several!) so I guess this Winter will be perfect! 🙂

The faux fur coat

At first, it reminded me of my grandmother looks. The long fur coat. And I immediately knew I had to have one! I already had several faux fur vests, and I didn’t want anything related to real fur (it makes me sick, just the idea of having a real fur coat), so it was a very difficult choice. I realized I couldn’t pick only one fur jacket – the small ones would be great paired with jeans, but the long ones would make a great skirt outfit – so I told my mum to choose one. She picked a small one, beige with leather beige details. But that was last winter… A few weeks ago, when I decided I was emotionally prepared to take a look at Zara fall/winter ’14 collection, my previous thoughts returned.
Whenever I think of a faux fur coat, I think about something to keep for many many years in my closet, so I believe it is a good investment. Also, I’m a person who dislikes wearing too many clothes at the same time, especially when winter comes, so I always chose a really warm coat to use only with a shirt or a blouse underneath.

The miniskirt

Here’s another statement piece you should try on this fall winter. I’m super excited with the miniskirt, probably because it’s the first time I don’t find it tacky… I usually wear miniskirts with oversized blazers or sweaters, it creates a comfy but irreverent look. Matches perfectly with short boots or loafers.
